My sincere condolences to the family of Late Sir (Chief) Alfred Eghobamien SAN, the NBA Benin Branch and the Midwest Bar Forum over the demise of our colleague and illustrious leader.
I got this news yesterday, the 5th June 2020 and my heart ached so much on hearing this very sad news.
Sir (Chief) Alfred Eghobamien SAN until his death was a consummate bar man whose contributions to the legal profession were immense, outstanding and exemplary.
Sir (Chief) Alfred Eghobamien SAN will indeed be missed for his forthrightness, frankness, intrepidness and astuteness concerning Bar activities particularly in Benin Branch, and the Midwest Bar Forum.
At this time of grief, my prayers are with the entire family, the NBA Benin branch and the Midwest Bar Forum. May the good Lord grant our learned Silk soul eternal rest. Amen!
John O. Aikpokpo-Martins

An Hero has fallen
ReplyDeleteOh death why
Why take my number one hero
Why take a man who led me into the legal profession
Why leave me boneless and without strength
Indeed late Sir (Chief) Alfred Eghobamien SAN
Was a father to many and a mentor to me (he was one of those who signed my call to bar Form)
I still remember his words and encouragement to me why on court attachment in Benin to continue and not give up even in the face of difficulties
Epa, as I fondly call him is a consummate bar man.
May his gentle and kind soul rest in the bossom of the Almighty God.
Life is indeed transient!
