The candidates have demonstrated exceptional professional competence and integrity throughout the evaluation, which included the Advocates' 1st and 2nd Filtration Stages, Academic Pre-qualification, Academic 2nd Filtration Exercise, Independent Appeals Hearing, and the Law Office Inspection Exercise.

The shortlisted candidates are divided into two categories based on their professional focus:

This list, released on 23 June 2026 by Kabir Eniola Akanbi, Esq., Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court of Nigeria and Secretary of the LPPC, represents those moving forward to the final interview stage of the conferment process.

In adherence to the principles of transparency and due process, the LPPC has invited members of the public to provide feedback regarding the integrity, reputation, and competence of the shortlisted applicants.

The committee has specified that any complaints must be formally documented in a verified affidavit, deposed to by the complainant before a Superior Court of Record in Nigeria or a Notary Public. These documents must be received at the office of the Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee no later than 4:00 pm on Wednesday, 15 July 2026, or submitted via email to lppcsecretariat@courts.gov.ng.

The LPPC emphasised that this publication of names is part of the ongoing process and does not constitute an indication of a successful application for the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria.

As the candidates prepare for the final interviews, the legal community looks forward to the announcement of those who will ultimately be adorned with the prestigious rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria, the highest honour in the Nigerian legal profession, symbolising excellence in advocacy and a profound commitment to the administration of justice.
