OFFICIAL COMMUNIQUE: SUPPLEMENTARY CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS (2026 SERIES)

Distinguished Learned Silks, Benchers, and Colleagues,
Following the initial success of our call for submissions, the Editorial Board of the NBA Lagos Branch, under the directive of the Chairman, Tochukwu Onyiuke, SAN, hereby issues a Supplementary Call for Articles.
This initiative aims to further broaden the scope and elevate the academic quality of our 2026 publications. This is a rare and prestigious opportunity for members to feature their work in globally recognized legal platforms.
1. EXPANDED PUBLICATION CHANNELS
Selected high-quality articles will now be considered for publication across three distinct tiers:
- International Tier: The prestigious Sweet & Maxwell international journal.
- Branch Tier: The 2026 Lagos Bar Journal.
- Media Tier: Our "Emerging Legal Areas" series in national dailies and premier legal blogs including The Guardian, Punch, Matters of the Nigerian Bar, Bar and Bench News, and BarristerNG.
2. CORE THEMES
We continue to prioritize scholarly manuscripts in:
* Finance, Fintech, and Telecommunications Law.
* Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cyber Security, and Digital Jurisdiction.
* Intellectual Property and International Maritime Law.
3. TECHNICAL STANDARDS & SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
- Referencing: Strict adherence to OSCOLA (Oxford Standard for Citation of Legal Authorities).
- Word Count: Full Journal/International Articles: 3,000 – 5,000 words.
- Media/Blog Commentaries: Maximum 2,000 words.
- Originality: Manuscripts must be original; AI-generated content is expressly prohibited.
- Format: Microsoft Word, 12pt Times New Roman, 1.5 line spacing.
4. URGENT DEADLINE
In view of our strict publication window, all new manuscripts must be submitted on or before:
Friday, May 8, 2026, by 12:00 Noon.

6. REVIEW PROCESS
All submissions will undergo an expedited two-stage evaluation: Compliance Vetting followed by a rigorous Peer-Review process to ensure they meet the standards of our international and local partners.
