The 'Premier Branch' has always been the heartbeat of the Nigerian Bar, but the pulse of any great Bar lies in its intellectual depth.
As Chairman of the NBA Lagos Branch Editorial Board, I am energised by the momentum we are building. Following our emergency strategy session on 28 February 2026, it is clear that our mandate transcends mere publication; we are here to set the global standard for legal discourse.
I must commend the tireless energy of my Vice Chairman, Amb. Clementina E. Ukiri, Esq., and our Secretary, Henry Chukwunonso Nkamuke, Esq., whose administrative support is vital as we move into this high-execution phase.
To the distinguished members of this Board: with the formal issuance of your appointment letters, we have moved from invitation to obligation. I am calling for 100% involvement from every member. Your contributions are the ink that will write this history. We are moving beyond the local 'trenches' to ensure NBA Lagos voices are heard in international journals such as Sweet & Maxwell.
The work is demanding, but the legacy will be enduring. Let us remain focused. Let us remain committed. Excellence is not an act, but a habit we are cultivating together.
Tochukwu Onyiuke, SAN
