Yet again, we are faced with another abduction. While celebrating Nigeria's independence, Mr. Isyaku M. Danjuma, a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Birnin-Kebbi Branch, was kidnapped in Niger State. This incident is a stark reminder of the growing insecurity and vulnerability of citizens, including lawyers.
Demanding Accountability and Action
It is imperative that we demand accountability and action against kidnapping and other forms of insecurity. We call on security agencies to take immediate action to rescue Mr. Danjuma and apprehend the culprits. Furthermore, the government, at all levels, must prioritise security in Magama LGA, other hotspots, and the entire country.
Solidarity with the Affected Family and Community
We stand in solidarity with Mr. Danjuma's family, the NBA Birnin-Kebbi Branch, and the legal community, urging our leaders to fulfill their constitutional obligations to ensure the security and welfare of citizens.
The abduction of Mr. Danjuma is a wake-up call for all Nigerians. We must demand action from our leaders to address the growing insecurity in our country.
