Dear Learned Silk, Benchers, Seniors and Colleagues,
I hope this message finds you well and in good spirits.
As promised when I first wrote to you, my emails may sometimes come in torrents, but each will be purposeful. Today’s one is a triple package:
Our Newsletter on the Protest – I have attached a detailed report of our recent protest march to the Western Naval Command. It captures how our Branch, led by the Chairman, Mrs. Uchenna Ogunedo Akingbade, stood firm in defence of one of our own and, more importantly, the Rule of Law. It’s a read worth your time.

Stamp List (now up to List 26) – Please comb through carefully to see if your name has appeared. For those who applied earlier but are still waiting, don’t lose hope. Follow the application steps I shared previously in my email of August 2nd, 2025, or send your Bar Practising Fee, Branch Dues, and Stamp Payment receipts to barservices@nigerianbar.org.ng so it can be fast-tracked where necessary.
Membership ID Cards – I’ve also attached the list of ID cards already printed (going as far back as the past three administrations). Many are still lying uncollected at the Secretariat. Do check if yours is there and come pick it up.
Please note: New ID card printing has been PAUSED until we clear a good number of the backlog. It’s a matter of efficiency; let us collect what’s ready before piling up more.
So, this is an email for three simple calls to action: read, check, and collect. The Secretariat doors remain open, and my inbox too, if you need guidance.
As always, I’m here to keep you in the loop, to serve, and to ensure that in this Premier Branch, no member is left behind.
P.S. Please rescue your ID card from captivity at the Secretariat; it deserves a good home in your wallet/purse.
Respectful regards,
Kelechukwu Uzoka
Secretary
